![]() The stigma I’m most interested in combating is the notion that cannabis is a harmful, dangerous drug, and that growing, using or possessing it is criminal. WB: What are your thoughts on stigmas? How do you anticipate removing them? They kick in within 20 minutes-an absolutely crucial innovation for making cannabis accessible for daily use. So, after years of R&D, we launched Drops in six formulas (for sleep, sex, anxiety, energy, focus and bliss) and moved cannabis into the medicine cabinet. It was always odd to me that cannabis, which can effectively address all these things, wasn’t available in pills. It could be a pill for anxiety, a pill for sleep, or a pill for arousal. The predominant way that Americans take medicine is in pill form. We created 1906 Drops-fast-acting pharma-grade pills combining cannabis and other medicinal plants-to help people treat their concerns and enhance their wellbeing. I mean, life is pretty overwhelming for a lot of people right now. People are more anxious than ever: they are not sleeping well and are worrying about major issues in our country, as well as personal health and finances. According to a survey from the American Psychological Association released late last month, 46 percent of parents with children under 18 rated their average stress level related to the pandemic as 8, 9 or 10 on a 10-point scale. PB: A recent Wall Street Journal story highlighted the uptick in doctors prescribing pharmaceuticals for anxiety and insomnia due to COVID-19 and the growing concerns around long-term use. Burroughs made no attempt to reconcile these differences in the books but some people have attempted to explain this error, most notably in the Disney film, in which Zodanga was presented as a moving city.WB: Please tell me about what you’re working on right now. Through out the books there are contradictory locations given for Zodanga. It had a noteworthy location called the Tower of Law, and its inhabitants had pointed ears. In the Marvel Comics Warlord of Mars series, the combined fleet of Helium and Thark levelled Zodanga, leaving the city an uninhabited ruin. It was noted by the naval officers that there was always an opening with the air scouts. The symbol of their city (at least after being absorbed by Helium) appeared to be some sort of white bird.Ī notable landmark in the city of Zodanga was the mighty Naval Tower, the headquarters of Zodanga's navy. The inhabitants of the city had long worn blue colors to identify themselves. The position was thus bestowed on Zat Arras. #Zedenca barsoom install#After Sab Than and his father were overthrown, the city became part of Helium.ĭuring the "Heretic of Mars" story arc, it was revealed that Tardos Mors intended to install Carter as the new Jed of Zodanga, but Carter declined. As in the original canon, the city was conquered by John Carter with a force of Green warriors, who sacked and looted the city after Sab Than kidnapped Dejah Thoris. In the history presented by Dynamite Entertainment's Warlord of Mars series, Zodanga historically allied itself with Yorn. They used red colors to identify themselves, their flag was red and black. The Zodangans themselves are portrayed as hostile, manipulative, and aggressive people who wage war on the Heliumites, the Tharks, and any other enemies that cross their path. The city itself has been through so many battles that it's been rebuilt and redeveloped over the various wars. It moves over the surface of the planet on hundreds of massive mechanical legs, while its massive hangar decks house the many airships that Zodangans use to attack their enemies. The city itself resembles a walking refinery - greasy, smelly, smokey, sooty, black and grey, steel and lifeless. The city is covered by sentries who patrol just within the walls. In the 2012 film John Carter, Zodanga is a mobile city located in Barsoom's southwest hemisphere. They had a hatred for the Green Martians, and actively destroyed their incubators. The Zodangans seem to be generally harsher and more imperialistic than the Heliumites. The city was sacked and looted by the green hordes led by John Carter, but it seems to have recovered somewhat since that time. The central plaza of the city covers a square mile, here are the palaces of the jeddak and other members of royalty and nobility, as well as the principal public buildings, cafes, and shops. The city is surrounded by walls 75 feet in height, and fifty feet thick, constructed of enormous blocks of Carborundum. ![]()
